Psychological Operations

Psychological operations (PsyOps) can be used to reduce a group of people or a countries enemies will to fight, their trust in each other and in their senior leadership, to fatigue them and induce a fear of infiltration and betrayal.

• The term is used "to denote any action which is practised mainly by psychological methods with the aim of evoking a planned psychological reaction in other people"

• These operations have been used by Over-Watch Group staff in six specific international engagements in the past 12 years.

• The operations are effective and low-risk even in complex circumstances, for example when other nations are involved.
